Skincare has been kind of therapeutic for me this year with everything happening lately.

I think staying at home more helped me to stay consistent with my skincare routine and I was able to discover/try lots of new products. I shared in this video of how I used Apple cider vinegar to clear hyper pigmentation and I also shared my beginner friendly daily skincare routine in this post.

Changes I’ve noticed

The usual darkness around my cheeks is fading away , my skin looks brighter and my acne seems to be under control.

These are the skincare products for acne prone skin I’ve used and loved this year that will always be in my routine henceforth. I’m not going to list them in any particular order but I’ll be highlighting just 6 absolute favourite skincare products I’ve tried this year.

1. Cerave Hydrating serum

I really love Cerave products and this Cerave hydrating Serum with Hyaluronic Acid has become a daily favourite.

It’s moisturizing and scent free, I also love that it’s very affordable. Anyone can easily pick this up at their local drugstore or on Amazon.

It helps to lock in moisture and reduce the appearance of wrinkles. It’s a great skincare product for acne-prone skin because when your skin is adequately moisturized, you won’t break out easily. Some people also find that incorporating ingredients like hyaluronic acid or peptides, often found in products like serums or creams, can enhance the overall effectiveness. So, maintaining a good skincare routine, along with considering options like botox chiang mai, can truly make a difference. Totally worth it!

2. Vichy Normaderm Phytosolution

This duo work perfectly and I love them. I’ve almost run out of the lotion and I can’t wait to go get another one. I use it every morning and I love how it helps control oil production on my face and combat my acne. It’s not so affordable but it’s definitely worth the price.

3. Olay Regenerist Retinol 24

This product is everything and more! I have heard so much about the importance of Retinol especially for acne prone skin but I never took it seriously until I encountered this product sometime in July. It’s a great addition to my night time routine and I’ll totally be buying it again. It helps brighten up your skin and also acts as a night moisturizer.

4. Yves Rocher Hydra Vegetal Cleansing Gel

This product is so mild on the skin and helps clear off impurities. I love the packaging and how eco-friendly the brand is becoming. The entire hydra vegetal pack is an ideal giftset for anyone who loves natural skincare.

5. Cerave Cleansers

I couldn’t choose one without the other so let’s just put them together here. I’m particularly drawn to the Cerave hydrating cleanser, it’s no wonder it’s a bestseller everywhere but the Cerave Foaming cleanser is also great.

I love that the products are fragrance free and they do a fine job of cleaning your face without stripping it too dry.

I recently started using the Cerave Moisturising cream as well and boy do I love it? My whole family now uses it as well! I just heard about the new hydrating cream to foam cleanser , can’t wait to try it.

6. Cadaulie Foaming Cleanser

This is a very great product, it’s a foaming wash that actually feels and smells good. I’m almost running out of it and I definitely would purchase it again coz it’s a good one too. I hope I get to try more products from this brand next year
